Before getting my temporary tattoo that I covered in a previous post, my friend and I also ate cheese ribs in Hongdae at 함지박치즈등갈비. Since this is also on the pedestrian-friendly street, it is very popular and always packed. The ribs are similar to ones made in the West, but they bring it on a hot grill with cheese to your table. Corn is also mixed into the grated cheese, and you know it’s time to eat when the cheese melts completely.
There are also marinated rice cakes on top of the ribs. You can eat the ribs alone, but the best way is to swirl it in the cheese and corn mixture before eating. This can obviously get a bit messy, so the restaurant provides you with a plastic glove for the hand that holds the rib. It’s a unique and tasty experience that you don’t want to miss!
